I had been teaching yoga for over ten years and had been looking at yoga therapy programs for about four years when I found the Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy program. What initially drew me to this particular program was primarily logistics: the ability to do the entire foundations program from my home if I chose. This is the complete package. The online lectures are great, and you can go back as many times as you need. The on-line practices in meditation, pranayama, and chanting have really helped me deepen my practice. The retreats are a joy with great camaraderie (and delicious food).

I’ve been working with a client for three weeks with a yoga therapy sequence to help with his knock knees and bulging disc at L5. It is very similar to the sequence that I’ve turned in for the lesson 16 assignment. This client has been very dedicated, working the sequence 4 to 5 times a week.
Today when we met, he was so happy! His knees are starting to shift, his hips are opening and his sleep and mood have greatly improved. He is so thankful for my yoga therapy training. This client was told to prepare for back surgery!

If you are an aspiring yoga therapist that is apprehensive about making the leap because of a hole in your learning around anatomy, this is the retreat for you. This week gave me so much confidence about how to read bodies and a much better understanding of anatomy and it was done in a way that fit my learning style. I felt like I had taken a huge leap forward. Brandt really knows how to make this complex topic simple. I can’t recommend this training enough.
Healing Through The Body And Breath: A Yoga Therapy Perspective was everything I wanted it to be and more. The program included a hands-on approach peppered with the right amount of meditation, pranayama and yoga nidra. I left wanting more, but more importantly, I was inspired to continue these practices on a more consistent basis!
Brandt was organized and delivered the weekend in a concise manner that allowed us to simulate the information and put it into practice. It was an amazing workshop! I wish I could have stayed on for the week-long retreat.
