At Breathing Deeply Kids, we believe that all families should have access to yoga therapy so that you and your children can overcome challenges and thrive.
Is your child struggling with anxiety, ADHD, or obsessions and compulsions?
At Breathing Deeply, we specialize in creating protocols that support your child to live a happier and healthier life. Yoga therapy helps children self-regulate so that they can navigate life with confidence and resilience.
Yoga therapy has a positive impact on mental health conditions affecting the brain and nervous system
Studies show positive outcomes from using yoga for children’s mental health as well as adults. Whether they are suffering from anxiety, anger, self-esteem, regulation, symptoms of ADHD, or obsessions and compulsions, yoga therapy can empower children and adults to regulate their responses.
Breathing Deeply Kids is for caregivers and children ages 6 -12 (and soon teens).
Once part of our community, you can access live and recorded yoga practices for children’s mental health designed by yoga therapists to help your child. In addition, we hold live Q&A sessions with our experts for caregivers so you can get your questions answered and the support you need!
Once you join, you will be in our private social network which contains:
- Both live and pre-recorded yoga therapy classes for you and your child
- A private social network with other caregivers to exchange ideas and support
- Live interactive Q&As with our lead yoga therapists for personalized guidance
- Monthly classes for caregivers to alleviate stress
FAQ
How old does my child need to be to participate?
Our yoga for children’s mental health and ADHD program is geared toward ages 6-12. Our teen program is in the works.
How much yoga will my child do?
It can vary but the basic protocols are 2-3x per week for 20-25 minutes.
Do I do yoga with my kiddo?
We recommend you do it at first but it doesn’t need to be every time. (Of course, there are exceptions.)
How long will it take to get results?
Like all mental health interventions, yoga therapy is a gradual cumulative process. Generally, we see positive changes within 4-8 weeks and large changes at the 16-24 week mark when using yoga therapy for children’s mental health.
Will someone help me figure out how to set up my child for success?
Yes! We are available live to answer questions, plus you can ask and discuss all things with teachers and community members on our private social network.
Is there an app?
Yes! The software functions as an app on all devices, making it easy to connect from anywhere.
What is the cost?
Our commitment is to make these yoga therapy services and communities as cost-effective as possible. To join the community and access yoga classes for your child is free. If you have the ability to pay, it is optional. Your financial support keeps the platform free and provides services including sharing pediatric yoga therapy for children and teens with cancer throughout New England through Lucy’s Love Bus and their Integrative Healing Programs. Additionally, our Breathing Deeply Kids yoga therapy is both online and in person with programs currently serving MassGeneral Hospital in Boston, UMass Memorial, Hasbro Children’s, and Baystate Medical Center.
