The Breathing Deeply Meditation Community meets live at Won Dharma Center in Claverack New York. This meditation retreat is open to the public and all are welcome to attend. The Breathing Deeply meditation residential retreats are an opportunity to practice with others while deepening our individual meditation practice within the support of community.

This retreat is a chance for intensive meditation practice in an immersive, supportive environment. It is offered to be an invaluable part of personal evolution.

We will be working with practices and concepts from the Breathing Deeply Meditation School. These include seated meditations for grounding and tranquility, deeper awareness and pranic activation, and samadhi and surrender. Instruction will be provided with time for questions. There are no prerequisites for this retreat, however, in order to attend, participants are expected to be of sound mind and body and capable of self-management. This will keep our retreat container focused and safe for all that are in it.

We will be silent in the mornings from waking through lunchtime. Students will have the option of being silent for the whole day and even the entire retreat. “In silence” tags will be provided and can be worn at any time.

The layout of our days will have us practicing together from 6:15am to 8:15pm on Saturday and Sunday, with our evening and the opening session on Friday and closing session on Monday. Seated meditation sessions will range from 30-45 minutes at a time, often followed by walking meditation. Asana and yoga nidra will also be offered throughout the retreat schedule. Please see a general agenda below and note that all are welcome to participate fully in the suggested practices but are also welcome to take breaks while following these guidelines (link) so as not to disrupt the community and flow of the schedule.

We all have the ability to evolve and experience our full selves. We invite you to come to be in community in a beautiful retreat setting designed as a container for practice and self-evolution. Let us come together collectively to expand our consciousness for the benefit of all!
