When I applied to the Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy Program, I was studying osteopathy and working as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). I was unable to complete my osteopathy degree, and I knew I didn’t want to be a PTA long-term. I kept seeing the Breathing Deeply program coming up on my Google searches, and I was like, what is this yoga therapy thing? After looking through the website, I knew it was the perfect match for me.
The Breathing Deeply teachings have brought me to the most balanced place I have ever been. I have been able to work through some deep things and make some big changes to my life. I feel more confident and secure. The program’s most useful and valuable part has been my personal growth through practicing the teachings.
Since implementing the tools I have learned, I have seen clients shift themselves, including living with less pain, having better sleep and better posture, experiencing less anxiety and less depression, and I have helped someone overcome a long-lasting concussion. A great example of a success from last week was a chronic pain client of mine told me that she no longer needs meds to sleep since working with me, so that feels like a big win.
This program has definitely exceeded my expectations. With the retreats and support from my Teaching Assistant (Lisa) and Brandt, I never felt like I was alone. Even though it’s an online course I always had a real person I could discuss coursework with.
For anyone considering a yoga therapy education, know that if you love yoga and want to learn how to work one-on-one with clients in a way that will really benefit them, then take this training!
I am now working as a yoga therapist in a private physiotherapy clinic. The physiotherapists I work with refer clients to me who have long term chronic issues that either aren’t improving with physio or they feel could benefit from additional support.
