I have learned so much since I first started the Foundations program! Especially about anatomy and the doshas. I feel more confident now when meeting with clients and offering them practices because Breathing Deeply has equipped me with the knowledge I need to best support them.

I have been dealing with rheumatoid arthritis for the last 9 years, and yoga was the only thing that got me through my diagnosis mentally and physically. I have known for years that I have wanted to give back to the chronic pain community in some way, so I thought becoming a Yoga Therapist was the best way for me to do this. I chose Breathing Deeply for my yoga therapy program because the program has been flexible and affordable, and the content provided has been exceptional.

The Breathing Deeply philosophy that has helped me personally is that we are whole human beings, not just conditions. It has been helpful to see myself in this light, dealing with a chronic illness, because it allows me to see there is so much more to who I am than the chronic pain that I live with. It has also helped me understand my clients better and to offer them practices that help support all of them, not just what may suit their condition.

The Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy Program has exceeded my expectations. The Foundations material has been engaging, the Q&A times have always felt supportive, and the week-long advanced modules are so fun for learning more about specific conditions and connecting with my peers. The most valuable part of the program was my Q&A times with Brandt and my Teaching Assistant, Melissa! They helped me to understand the material better and encouraged me to think more creatively when working with my clients.

During the Foundations Program, I worked with a client who was dealing with pelvic pain and anxiety. After just six sessions of working with her on a 5-kosha yoga nidra and some asana beneficial to relaxing the pelvic floor, she was able to reduce her pelvic pain and experience much less anxiety on a daily basis.

Since starting this program, I have witnessed many things and seen my clients experience lessened anxiety, lessened pelvic pain, and feel more in tune with their bodies overall. It has been such a blessing to see my clients heal themselves through yoga practices of all kinds.

I am currently seeing clients 1:1 in person or on Zoom for chronic pain conditions and mental health conditions such as C-PTSD, PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

I would want a potential yoga therapy student to know that the materials provided in the course are engaging and helpful, and that the program is flexible enough to fit your life’s schedule, whether you are 22 and right out of college, a new parent, or retired!
