Since I began this program, I have become more knowledgeable about the movement of the mind and the body. As a working mom, I liked that Breathing Deeply has an in-depth online program that is easy to participate in. When I enrolled, I was worried I would not be able to absorb the content but I have been able to take it at my own pace and reference things as many times as I needed to.
Throughout the course, I have learned how to have a much deeper connection to my mental fluctuations as well as having a stronger meditation practice. Now, when I teach group classes, I have shifted to teaching a more well-balanced class. And with my yoga therapy clients, I have much more confidence in being able to help them. There are so many program supports in place to help you learn and grow.
Throughout the course, and as I continue in the field, I love that I can access the content of the course and the community anytime I want. I help a lot of people with back pain of various types and because of this education, I am so much more able to support them in the appropriate ways.
One case study that I am proud of is of a client who has regained mobility and confidence while teaching in the classroom. She is a Special Ed teacher and often has to pick kids up or get down on the floor. When we began, she was unable to do her job well due to back pain. She is is now feeling better because of our work together and she is much more able and confident working at her job.
