Meena’s dream of using yoga therapy for people with cancer began in 2018 after receiving her 200-hour yoga certification and proceeded to complete the Breathing Deeply Advanced Program under the guidance of director and lead instructor, Brandt Passalacqua. She is a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and is also a certified Yoga 4 Cancer teacher through Tari Prinster.
Meena’s work with cancer patients and survivors focuses on educating them on how and why movement and breath are so important for a good quality of life (QOL). She teaches classes in addition to her private practice where she sees clients for various chronic conditions, including cancer. She is currently working on a collaboration with an outpatient cancer center to implement yoga therapy.
Meena and her husband have 2 wonderful daughters, ages 35 and 32 and she enjoys making jewelry and henna art, reading, walking with her dog, cooking Indian food, and traveling with her family.
