Beth Christiano, C-IAYT Yoga Therapist & PhD, Clinical Psychologist
Guest Teacher
Beth Christiano is a licensed Psychologist, a certified Yoga Therapist (IAYT), and the owner of Clarity Psychotherapy and Yoga Therapy. After earning my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Case Western Reserve University, I pursued and completed advanced training in School Psychology at Duquesne University and Sports Counseling at California University of Pennsylvania. In addition to private practice, I have worked with clients through UPMC Health Center, Kane Regional Nursing Center, and The University of Pittsburgh Counseling Center, implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
In 2016, I began my yoga teacher journey (completing RYT 200 and 300). In 2024, I earned my Yoga Therapist certification (IAYT) from Breathing Deeply. Yoga therapy uses yoga practices, such as movement, breath, and meditation, to facilitate healing. Integrating Western modalities of psychotherapy with healing practices rooted in yoga, I offer a holistic approach to addressing anxiety, depressed mood, chronic pain, addictions, eating disorders, traumatic reactions, and grief.
